I thought I'd share a few photos from a fab wedding we photographed in October last year in Edinburgh. Kelsey & Neil were married at St Andrews' Church in Leith, with their reception being held at the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh City Centre. Kelsey was actually bridesmaid at another wedding we photographed earlier in the year (Megan & Jeremy) and so we already knew many of the faces on the day! It was a lovely day, although tinged with a touch of sadness as Kelsey's mum Mary passed away shortly before the wedding. She was very much missed but definitely there in spirit.
Our coverage of Neil & Kelsey's wedding began in the morning at the house as the girls had their hair and make-up done.
I always like to capture details on the day as well as the people, and so we grabbed some photos of the dresses, flowers and shoes.
The morning flew by and before long the finishing touches were being applied to make-up. There was just time for some photos with the girls out in the garden before Kelsey put her wedding dress on.
Kelsey looked stunning in her dress and you could tell Dad was a proud as punch when he saw her for the first time.
We headed off to grab some shots of Neil and the guests arriving at the Church, just before kelsey arrived with her Dad.
It was soon time for the wedding ceremony and there wasn't a dry eye in the house as the wedding party walked down the aisle, followed by Kelsey & her Dad.
After the ceremony, the guests headed to the Assembly Rooms for some welcome drinks, whilst we headed off on a mini photo tour of Edinburgh with Kelsey & Neil. Starting off with some photos on Leith Links, we headed to Arthurs Seat taking in some great views of the city, and back into the city centre.
Once we arrived on George Street at the Assembly Rooms, we took some photos of the bridal party. We got some interesting looks as Neil & The Guys did their "jumping shot"!!!!
Our coverage continued with the speeches and of course some family & group shots after dinner in one of the halls at The Assembly Rooms, with their first dance following shortly after.
Thanks again to Neil & Kelsey for having us along, it was a blast!!
