Ayrshire has always been one of my favourite parts of Scotland. There's lots of fab wedding venues there, and we had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at The Gailes Hotel near Irvine last year, when Jillian & Gary invited us along to capture their special day. Our day started off at Jillian's parents' house where we caught the last of the hair & make-up being done. It's always great starting off with the girls in the morning, as we get lots of fab shots that really tell the story of the day from the start.
After a few shots with the bridesmaids and Jillian's folks, we headed off to the Gailes Hotel. Unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side and the rain looked set to be on for the day, but that didn't dampen anyone's spirits!!
The Gailes Hotel has a nice bright room for the ceremony, which always makes for nice shots!
After the ceremony, it was still quite we outside but we still made the most of it. Check out that sky!!
As it was still too wet to go outside, we took some family shots inside, and of course some fun shots with the bridal party.
It was soon time for the wedding meal and of course, the speeches.
After the wedding, we took some bride & groom shots next to the fireplace inside the Hotel, and, luckily the weather dried up long enough for us to get out for some more photos.
Our day ended with the first dance, and of course and emotional moment as Jillian danced with her Dad.
Thanks again to Jillian & Gary, their family and friends for having us along!!
