We were recently lucky enough to be invited to photograph a unique event in the North of Scotland, so I thought I'd share some photos of the event as it's a cracker!!! Gill & John were married at the magnificent Fasque House near Fettercairn in Aberdeenshire on the Monday night and Gill's daughter Bethany got married to Kieran on the Tuesday at the same venue! Our coverage started on Monday evening just before the start of Gill & John's wedding.
Gill & John's wedding ceremony was held in one of the drawing rooms at Fasque House and was a nice, relaxed affair, with a small number of friends and family watching.
After the wedding ceremony, we headed into the grand hallway for some family groups by the staircase.
Once we had the family photos taken, it was time to get some shots of the happy couple. Fasque House is an amazing venue!! Not only did we get some superb shots in the House's grand interior, we headed outside to get some nightime shots outside the building, which was beautifully floodlit!
Our evening with Gill & John ended after the dancing had started, and everyone had a ball at their reception!
On the Tuesday, it was Gill's daughter Bethany's turn to get married to Kieran and we started off taking some nice detail shots of the venue. It was really nice to see Fasque House during the day as well as at night, it's a fantastic venue at any time of day!
Once our detail shots were done, we headed upstairs to catch some action shots of the girls getting ready.
We also took some nice detail shots of Bethany's amazing Kavelle Couture dress, as well as some of her accessories. Beautiful!!
Soon it was time for Bethany to get her dress on, so we headed back downstairs to capture Kieran and the guys before the ceremony. We had good fun with the guys, and as you can see, they certainly weren't afraid to strike a pose!
We finished our shots of Kieran and the boys and headed up to see how the girls were getting on, and Bethany was already in her dress and ready to go. She looked absolutely amazing!!
Bethany & Kieran's ceremony took place in the grand hall, exactly where Bethany's Mum got married the night before. it was an emotional ceremony and, before long, we were introduced to the new Mr & Mrs Speirs!!!
Our formal photography session started off with some shots of Bethany & Kieran. We really were spoiled for choice at Fasque House! Everywhere you turn, there's an amazing shot just waiting to be taken!
After the Bride & Groom portraits, it was the turn of the bridal party to have their photos taken, with Laura as Bridesmaid and Christopher as Best Man.
After being outside, we headed up into another room in the house to do the family shots.
Soon, it was time for the evening meal and we headed upstairs for the cake cutting and speeches.
After the meal, we headed outside again to get some shots with the house floodlit in the background. What an amazing backdrop!!
For their reception, Bethany & Kieran had decided to dispense with tradition- instead of a first dance, they had a good old game of Mr & Mrs, hosted by Seppi & their wedding co-ordinator Wendy!! Just check out some of the moves whilst they were listening to the music in the "booth"!!
A massive thanks to Bethany & Kieran, Gill & John and their families for making Mumsy & I so welcome. We had an absolute ball!!! Thanks also to everyone at Fasque House for looking after us and to Wendy McArthur from Utopia Scotland and Mark Stuart of Mark Stuart Films. It was a privilege working with you all!!
